Cinema’s most celebrated title sequence, SEVEN. Wayne Coe visualized eighty-five percent of the shot list in these dramatic frames.  Cooper’s experimentalism developed the story further on set & in-camera.

I believe Cooper’s religious fundamentalism underpins the narratives vibrating anxiety: expiation of God from state (“god” cut from a dollar) & temptation’s of Eve (paid sex) & mortification of the flesh (self-mutilation).
